Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus (VLS) is a condition of possible autoimmune origin that affects the vulvar skin, causing various symptoms such as itching, pain, and discomfort, leading to difficulties in the daily lives of the women who suffer from it.

Currently, the main line of treatment is corticosteroids; however, many women have been using them for years without noticing significant improvement. For this reason, Dr. Patricia Gutiérrez Ontalvilla conducted research to find a complementary treatment that truly improves the signs and symptoms of Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus.

This is how the Liquenia treatment emerged, which treats this condition by harnessing the regenerative capacity of stem cells extracted from the patient’s own fat. To do so, Dr. Gutiérrez uses equipment from the medical technology company Lipocube.

Working together, an opportunity has arisen to increase awareness of lichen sclerosus and the Liquenia Treatment, to publicize both the condition and this innovative treatment approach that has already restored quality of life to hundreds of women.

For this reason, Dr. Patricia Gutiérrez has joined the Lipocube Academy team as an instructor of a course on the application of regenerative medicine for lichen sclerosus with Lipocube.

By joining the Lipocube Academy team as an instructor of the course “Treating Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus with LipoCube”, Dr. Gutiérrez Ontalvilla contributes not only to the training of medical professionals, but also to the dissemination of knowledge about this condition.

Dr. Gutiérrez continues researching, training, and raising awareness about Vulvar Lichen Sclerosus through the Nixarian Foundation.
